The choices a woman makes

I am home today because my son has a weeks vaction from school. As I sit here, there is an inner struggle going on. Do I stop my just restarted career? How do I expect to be able to advance if I tell my boss that from now on I have to be home by 2:30 when my son gets home from school?

Should I even have to make that decision? Shouldn't there be a way that families can have what they need without having to give up a career or being home? Is it just that living in Silicon Valley is so damn expensive that one income barely makes the grade?

So much to think about.

Silicon Valley Life

I am starting this blog as a way to share life in this very exciting, and also stressful valley. Silicon Valley has been my home for over 20 years now, and even though I come from that big city north of us, I can't imagine leaving here anytime soon.

When did you come to Silicon Valley? What do like or not like about living here? Are you ready to go somewhere else? Why? or why not? When I figure out how to get the posting right, I will be back.
